Health care
Vaccinations, worming and dental checks run through group appointments that we organise, coordinate and attend. Anyone who would rather keep their own vet is free to do so.
In an open stable, health care is not a private matter: what one horse has, the others soon have too. So we organise prevention for the whole yard — and take the scheduling off your hands.
What you want to keep control of stays yours: your vet, your farrier, your decision on how to worm.
Vaccination
Tetanus is compulsory — we arrange the appointment
Tetanus cover
Valid tetanus cover is a condition of stabling with us. It protects not only your horse but the whole group.
Group appointments from the yard
We organise the appointments and see them through. You do not need to take time off for them.
Your own vet is welcome
If you would rather keep your own vet, keep them. The group appointment is an offer, not an obligation.
Worming: two routes, both coordinated by us. You can worm selectively — based on findings rather than on a fixed calendar. That is available for an additional charge, calculated according to the actual effort involved. Or you can worm preventively on a set schedule. Whichever route you choose, we arrange the appointments and administer the treatment.
Teeth
A dental check once a year
The annual dental check and treatment runs the same way as vaccination: we arrange the appointment, coordinate it with all owners and see it through. It is announced through the owners' portal.
If you cannot be there on the day, we will hold your horse — for an additional charge as shown in our price list.

Hooves
You choose your own farrier or trimmer
Farriers and hoof trimmers are arranged by each owner. You keep your professional and your rhythm — we do not interfere.
And if something needs doing quickly and nobody can be reached: the yard owner is a trained hoof care specialist and can step in in an emergency.

No metal shoes on the hind hooves. It is the only rule we set on shoeing, and the reason is one every herd keeper knows: in a group, horses kick. A kick with iron does a different kind of damage than one without — and it lands on someone else's horse, not your own. Front shoes remain possible; for the hinds we will find a solution together with your farrier.

Does my horse have to be vaccinated against tetanus?
Yes. Valid tetanus cover is a condition for a place with us.
Can I keep my own vet?
Yes. The group appointment is an offer, not an obligation. Anyone who prefers to arrange vaccination, worming or dental checks themselves may continue to do so.
What does selective worming cost?
It is available for an additional charge; the cost depends on the actual effort involved and is passed on accordingly. Get in touch and we will work through your case in detail.
Why can my horse not wear shoes behind?
Because horses kick in a herd. A kick with iron injures another horse far more severely than one without. Front shoes remain possible.
